Aromatherapy involves inhaling the scent of essential oils to experience their therapeutic benefits. This can be done through a diffuser, which releases the oil into the air, or by placing a few drops of essential oil on a tissue or cotton ball and inhaling it indirectly.

Another safe method of using essential oils is through topical application. However, it is important to dilute the oil with a carrier oil before applying it to the skin, as essential oils can be irritating and even cause allergic reactions when applied directly.


The safest way to use essential oils is through aromatherapy or topical application with proper dilution. Ingesting essential oils is not recommended, as it can be dangerous and toxic.
